How long does approval take?

A member of the team reviews every application by hand, and timing depends on the trade checks needed. We email your sign in details as soon as the account is open.

What happens after I apply?

You get a reference straight away and there is nothing more to do. Once reviewed, we email your sign in details and how to place your first order.

Do I need a VAT number or company number to apply?

A VAT number is optional. A company number is only required for limited companies, and sole traders apply with their full legal name.

Can the public buy from Tallon?

No. Tallon is trade only, for businesses such as convenience stores, forecourts, pharmacies, cafes and restaurants buying for resale or business use. We verify business details before opening an account.

Does applying commit me to anything?

No. Submitting an application does not create an account or a contract, and a person reviews the details before any account is activated.

How do I activate my account once approved?

When your application is approved we email you a link to set a password of at least 12 characters. The link works once and expires after 24 hours.

Can I see prices while I wait for approval?
